THINKING ABOUT WHETHER DOES SOMEBODY CAN DO THE SAME PRODUCT BETTER AND CHEAPER?

Today is the time to think about the products that we supply to our market – which are for me SPICES and DRIED FRUITS &NUTS – can there be done better and cheaper?

As a producer ...Are we supplying at least a decent quality of products?This means that you would love to bring your products home and serve to your chidren whom we are caring most? From my side I can say easily yes but when its comes all the foodstuffs we buy from the nearby grocery stores are not equal quality wise.

It is very probable that you can come across with a much cheaper pasta for instance . What is the quality difference between the most expensive one. What we should be   buying. Is the cheapest one the same product?

We won’t die from cheapest pasta. We will quench our hunger from both. Will the taste and texture be same ? Surely not.. Does it matter? For some yes…For some not. Hence we can come into a conclusion there is not much difference -in quality- based on our sensory perception wise…

Pasta is a quite simple product.. when it comes to more sophisticated products the risks are growing.
Canned products need more attention. Fish and meet are at the top of the list.Diary products maybe even more sensitive.

McDonalds or Burger King “must” offer you the best meat as they are not able to dare to a tiniest complaint which can deteriorate their world wide reputation . While your butcher in your neighborhood is not exposed to a such a big responsability. If you did not like the meat you bought last week you can complain to him but only the clients in the shop will hear it by chance. This will affect very slightly the business of your butcher. Right ?

Famous brands are and have to be more and more quality orianted than pricing. This does not prove that their quality is perfect. Some chemical and medicinal researches takes very very long time. Needs maybe more sofisticated analytical machinery to be invented.

Products without any brand have almost no risk. But can only sell with an attractive price. This is causing a dillemma price against quality.

The task of the legislator is more difficult. How to materilize the flow of decent products into the market without interruption? Not everybody is an expert of what we buy as food.Hence a neutral comitee must check but moreover think about public health .

Regretfully safety is endless notion. Achiveable precautions must be compulsory but in a reasonable extent. But NOT social media or uncompetent legislator must poke his nose into it.

IS THE PROFIT THE SURPLUS STOLEN FROM OUR WORKERS AS SAID BY KARL MARX

Peter Drucker is saying that it is not. Moreover this is the only way for the workers to make a living. The theory of economic growth is showing that only innovators but nobody else can obtain a profit.

An innovator is person that take a risk. Spending his valuable time to think about how to improve the existing commerce or production he already has, or to look after something more valuable to the world in near future..

Especially nowadays the knowledge is playing a big role in our world. Expensive researchs can only be made by very rich mutinational companies . Who can invest 500 million dollars to send a rocket to the the sky and trying make it return for the re-usage?

Governmental organisations can not dare , as they dont have the  luxuary to fail. But a mutibillionnaire can. If SpaceX or Hyperloop projects fails nobody will sue Elon Musk for it. He  is not doing them for presidential expectation too.

Big datas accumulated at the internet is conveying us on how to process them which is becoming the most important business of today. Google is saying that now able to identify the tiniest epidemic . Hence such a research and innovation-although must have be done by our authorities -due to the fact that they dont have the resources and allowance to fail ,research and innovation work is conveyed to entrepreneurs... Do not demonize them or invent a conspiracy story for every singe evil in the world.

IDENTIFYING THE FUTURE - Comments over Peter Drucker views (1)

I started to read the book of the most valuable guru of management  in 21. century Peter Drucker where I have been asked to identify the new trends of the field we work as homework.

I took the courage to think about how our food manufacturing company will continue to exist and what will be the management system in the near future.

My son and myself had had many difficuties in managing the small food production company we own. Every single worker , regardless he or she is white or blue collar have his own way of seeing the world , the factory , the business , his or her co-workers and ourselves as the owner of the business. Needless to say this is making very difficult to install a rigid discipline in all senses. Starting from they wear up to obeying the managerial and behaving individually differently.

I have come accross to a very few people who is eager to learn something and to look after on how to contribute to the existing system , on how to improve our existing production. Although we did not put in place a hierarchy in the management system ,old workers behave as having more authority and knowledge -which is not mostly the case- putting pressure on newcomers..

We have two major progress in our field. Mechanization is the first one. Unsophisticated hand work is becoming very expensive and the legislation of labor safety is becoming so impracticable  or if you follow strictly , is becoming so difficult to fulfill than as a manager you start thinking for mechanization every single day. The second major change is that the young workers do not want to work in physically hard jobs such as carrying heavy things , noisy , dusty  and cold environment.

Food legislation is becoming more and more difficult to implement to the manufacturer like us. The view of the legislator is to put restriction to every tiny issue to improve public health care without considering its costs and without making the risk analysis against the benefit .

They have a cruel and pitiless social media network and press… There is no any control , more over penalty and pay off for incorrect , inaccurate news that we are receiving daily basis.Hence , for the legislator put control on it is the safest way to react.

To conclude I can say that there will less available workers in the for difficult jobs which will push us to mechanization more and more. We will be obliged to spend more time and money to follow up the legislation and to implement . Staff working  such fields in the factories will increase either under the name of quality control manager or human resource manager or production manager.

Investment in modern technology will speed up.

We have been always badly affected from illegal competition whom are finding  a way to jump over the legislation. The major duty of our authorities was and must be to prevent their existance.

I have serious  doubts on it.

RISK ANALYSIS IN FOOD VERSUS QUALITY MANAGEMENT

BRC , IFS , FSSC , ISO quality management systems indeed have many advantages to produce safe and reliable products . But quality auditors do  not categorize neither give priority to the risks. This is giving unnecessary labor and waste of time and money to all companies.

For instance WHO is assuming that max 7mm metal is not dangerous for men if swallowed.. Children often swallow cherry pits which is not given any nuisance and trouble. On the other hand we are installing 0,7 mm sensible metal detector , neodium boron 8000 gauss magnets to get rid of fine metal powder, X-Ray detectors . Beside the expenses done to buy you also have to calibrate all the time and certify the calibration.

1-2 mm stone in the product can hurt your teeth. But you do not die of it. Pesticide residues indeed have negative impact in human body in long term. You can not consume 1 Kg of spice in a year but 1 kg of bread in a day.

On the other hand salmonella and e-coli contamination or growth in the product may be fatal instantly.

The calibration of glassware of laboratories must be done once for life time , as glass is an inert material. Calibration of scales is good for the trade but has nothing to do with health risk.

The importance of Major and minor non –conformance do not have the same magnitude .

The classification of risks must be categorized as follows

GRADE 1   -FATAL

GRADE 2   -LONG TERM SPREAD

GRADE 3   -NO EFFECT

Non conformances must be rated accordingly.

For instance if you don’t have microbiological analysis done the non conformance rating must be more severe than if you haven’t calibrate your scale. And the ratio must be 1 to 10 at least if not 100.

At the present time allergens are an insolvent disease issue. But the occurrence is so scattered and diverse!  On the other hand the preventive efforts spent for contamination is huge. But regarded as fatal for some auditors.  I do not want to give the impression that allergen management, labelling is unimportant for me but cost benefit analysis must be done also for rating.

All companies have a limited budget for the improvement of the product and production. Hence Grade 1 conformity must be %100 while Grade 3 conformity may be overlooked  in some extent.

Ray Kruzweil - THE SINGULARITY IS NEAR

I regret that I have been only informed about this magnificent book only in September 2017. Nearly 12 years later after being published.. Kruzweil is an incredible futurist  and researcher. Here I am copying you  the most important sentences that I selected for you.

HOW THE RESEARCH ACTIVITIES WILL GO ON

Research in every field requires time , expertise and money .

From that point of view we can estimate in coming decades where new inventions will come out. Today the most succesfull universities are in UK , USA and Europe , moreover the world biggest capital accumulation are in these countries too. Hence technological breakthroughs can only be expected to be done there. Expertise is at sophisticated universities and multinational companies. Strong justice is needed to protect investors for patents and also company shareholders. A stock exchange open worldwide and conducted well to prevent manipulations.

Today coming out into the market place by just saying that I will do research in suchand such  field is enough to collect billions of dollars as seen Elon Musk new companies.

The only thing you need is spend time to imagine the future .

“Ford” has said that if I would have ask to people what to invent they would have request a better running horse!!

Also I love the aphorism “ electrical light did not come out from the continuous  improvments of the candles” of Oren Harari.

Technology is gallopping. Ray Kruzwel has demonstrated that the breakthroughs in most fields are growing exponantially.Putin has said recently that in near future those who have the best   Artificial Intelligence will dominate the world…

Today is time to spend a little bit of time in writing a science fiction article at the field you work or you have interest.

Dont restrict your mind and imagination about money , as for a good idea investors are ready.

GOING BEYOND NECESSARY CLEANNESS IN FOOD

I have been visited and audited in some way my spice production facility by meticulous purchasing manager and quality manager. The spice cleaning consists of the  following machines : sieves, gravity separators, indent separators ( segragation by the shape) . In the line there are many magnets too.
At the very end there is a metal detector of 2mm sensitivity . The purchasing manager commented that in some factories there are vertical metal detection with 0,7 mm sensitivity. This is true. This has been invented already. Time to time we are sendinging to sub-contractor for such segregation. Normally in 10 tons of spice you get 5-10 pieces of foreign matters -mostly consisting of alumina folyo pieces- coming from cigarette packaging. But in I would like draw your attention to the quantity scanned : 10 tons. And segragated particles 1-3 grams.

By no means anything havier – with higher density – is segragated in the gravity separators with works with blowing air suspention system. Very powerful magnets produced by Neon-Boron with 8000 gauss attracting power are already in the line segragated even magnetised spice flakes by friction.

Anything with lighter density is already carried out by air suction.

At the end indeed you “may”  get a cleaner (!) product but at the expense of quite complicated machinary to segregate % 0,0001 innoxious foreign matters. Instead of focusing ourselves into more fundamental issues we are waisting our time and money .

Another discussions was made at the same encounter. We have a good amount of trees and flower plants in the surrounding of our factory. The visitor has congratulated me for having such a green environment . I replied that these are what  escaped from our Quality Manager extermination plan. As according to the up-to-date Quality Assurrance Systems no plants are requested  nearby as they can habour pests.

What a contradiction!

Bunlar SOLGAR gibi NUTRIWAY gibi bilindik şirketler - kendilerini şahane bir  şekilde pazarlıyorlar.

Bilimsel olmaktan uzak "TABİAT ANADAN GELEN SAĞLIK" meali kitaplar insanlara kanserden kalp  hastalık- larına kadar her şeyin çözümünü veriyor. Aktarlarda ve pazarlarda satılan ne idüğü belirsiz otlar ve kökler alternatif tıb olarak pazarlanıyor. Muhtelif otları kökleri kaynatıp hemen iyileşiyorsunuz.  -Tıp fakültelerini gereksiz kılarcasına-. Cehaletin son perdesi.

WİKİPEDİA ANSİKLOPEDİ İNTERNET

Son elli yılın en büyük icadı bilgi depolama konusunda elektroniğin katkısı, depolanan bilgiye hızla erişilmesi ve işlenmesidir. Ancak daha da önemlisi onun elektrik hızında paylaşılmasıdır.

İkibin yıl önce bilgiye ulaşmak için İskenderiye veya Celcius kütüphanesine gidip binlerce papirüs veya parşömen ruloyu okuyup öğrenmek ancak çok  az insanın sahip olabileceği bir imkandı. Kitabın icadı ile “rastgele erişim” hızı arttı. Bir papirüs rulosunda son paragrafa gitmek , bir kitabın son sayfasına gitmekten çok daha zor ve zaman alıcıydı.

Geçen yüzyıla kadar kitap sadece seçkinlerin ulaşabileceği bir şeydi.Ansiklopediler  ise  sadece kütüphanelerde bulunurdu.Eğitiminiz esnasında  araştırma yapmak için tek yol , okulun kütüphanesine gitmek idi. Seksenli yıllarda fasikül fasikül yayınlanan ansiklopediler evdeki salonların baş köşesine oturmuştu.

Doksanlı yıllar internet sayesinde bilgi ayağımıza geldi. Hem ücretsiz , hem de çok hızlı. Bu buluşu anlamak ve yorumlamak çok zordur. Geçen hafta Periscope programı ile SpaceX ‘in uzaya füze göndermesini canlı izledim. Youtube’da milyonlarca konferans , açık oturum ve belgesel anında elinizin altında.

Wikipedia’nın içeriğinden dolayı erişiminin kısıtlanması -eskiden Youtube’a yapıldığı gibi- sadece kullanıcıları yoksun bırakır. Çin ‘de de Wikipedia yasak… Hükümet yetkilileri yerli bir ansiklopedi yazmak için  onbinlerce akademisyeni işe almış. Bence “tekerleği yeniden icat etmek” buna denir. Eksiklikleri tamamlama amacı güdülse idi bir anlamı olabilirdi. Ya da hataları düzeltme çalışmaları yapılsa daha yerinde bir çaba olurdu.

Yakın bir gelecekte iki büyük değişim olacak. Birincisi hızlı değişen veya hızlı erişilebilecek bilginin okullarda öğretilmesine gerek kalmayacak . Geleneksel eğitim sistemi ve içeriği başka bir yönde evrilecek. Kişi istediği eğitimi internetten bulunduğu yerde alacak.Eğitim ömür boyu sürecek.

Ayrıca eskiden genel kültür dediğimiz bilgi akıllı telefonlar sayesinde her an yanımızda. Dünyadaki ikiyüz ülkenin başkentini ezberlemek bir marifet olmaktan çıktı. Ya da Türkiye’nin plakalarını…. Bunlar sadece televizyonlardaki bilgi yarışmalarında işe yarıyor artık.

Uzun yıllardır telefon rehberi yayınlanmıyor. Koca koca ciltler halinde basılan rehberler her sene evimize ve iş yerimize gönderilir baş köşeye konurdu. Beyaz sayfalar da, sarı sayfalar da tarih oldu. Posta idaresinin web sayfasından , anında ve bulunduğunuz yerden istediğiniz kişinin telefon numarasına erişebiliyorsunuz. Eskiden çalışma masamızın en önemli kişisel telefon rehberimiz akıllı telefonumızla işleivini yitirmek üzere.

Hele arama motorlarının bizim için gerçekleştirdikleri saymakla bitmez. Seneler sürebilecek bir araştırmayı sizin yerinize , milyonlarca dosya içerisinden saniyeler içerisinde yapıyor. Arama motorlarını iyi kullanabilmek, doğru soruyu sorabilmek te bir marifet.

Forumlar sayesinde sizinle ayni sorunu olan kişilerin nasıl çözümler bulduklarını , ya da ürün satıcılarının doğrudan cevapları bulmak elinizin altında.

Kötü yanları da var bu kontrolsüz bilginin. Başınız ağrıyor ve Google da baş ağrısı neden olur yazarsanız. Size milyon cevap bularak kafanızı iyice karıştırabilir.Depresyona bile sokabilir.

Eğitimin ne kadar uzun soluku ve masraflı olduğunu çoğu zaman düşünmeyiz…Ana okulundan üniversite sonuna kadar 16-18 senelik bir dönemi kapsar. Devlet okulları parasız bile olsa külliyetli bir masrafı vardır. Parasız olmasının fırsat eşitliği yarattığı görüşü ne yazık kı çok doğrulamamız mümkün değildir. En iyi okullar paralı olanlar ve de en zor girilebilenlerdir. Bu yüzden zengin çocuklarının şansı daha fazla gözükmektedir. Burslarla bu denge kurulmaya çalışılır. Türkiye deki 170 e yakın üniversiteye karşılık ABD de 5000 üniversite olması karşısında şaşırıabilirsiniz… Dünyanın en prestijli üniversitlerin " ivy-league" ‘in ABD bulunmasına ne dersiniz ? Dünyanın lokomotifi böyle olunabiliyor. Ayrıca 3. Dünya ülkelerindeki dahileri de mıknatıs gibi kendilerine çekmesi de ayrı bir işlev.

RASYONEL TEOLOJİ

Moris Fransez ayni adlı makalesinde Tanrıyı ya da everenin yaratıcısı veya yaratıcılarını anlamamız için duyularımızın "belki de" yetersiz kaldığından bahsediyor. Bir ölçüde katılmıyorum. Mevcut dünyamızı "idée" ler vasıtası ile anlamaya çalışıyoruz; Örneğin bir masa "idée" miz var zihnimizde. 3 bacaklı veya 4 bacaklı , üstü düz bir tabla içeren bir cisim.  ve ayni işlevi gören 1 bacaklı da olsa 5 bacaklı da olsa "masa" olduğunu idrak edebiliyoruz.

Zihnimizde Tanrı "idée" si olmadığından mevcut "idée"lerle hayalini bile kuramıyoruz. Hemen hep aksakallı , yaşlı başlı bir insan figürü -"idée"si zihnimizde canlanır. Uzak doğuda hep heykellerle iç içe tapınma geleneği belki de bu boşluğu doldurmak için icad edildi.

Yahudiliğin ve İslam'ın heykel ve resmi yasaklaması - Hristiyanlık ile karşılaştırıldığında herhangi bir pozitif kazanç sağladığı da söylenemez.Tanrı'yı daha iyi kavramamışlardır. Resimler ve heykeller bilakis insanlar üzerinde daha fazla etki yaratmıştır bile denilebilir.

ALIVE TOYS FOR ADULTS

I was watching TV the other day . One attractive lady was telling about her life.Her success story in her career and many hobbies that she was adding to her life while she mentioned also about how smooth was her recent divorce. The interviewer ask about whether there is a new love affair in her life. She said proudly that she was not a kind of women for marriage. But she was in love with her dog. She explained in detail her life with her dog.(I am wondering how things go in bad!)

Can a dog replace a husband ? In her case she was very confident and affirmative.. This is exactly what she told us.

I am not against domesticated animals surrounding us. Never had a fear for dogs, cats, fish and birds living in our homes ,at street or in our friend’s homes. But I feel a real pity for dogs especially with a collar or birds in a cage.

I only want you to imagine yourself with a collar attached to your master. Who will feed you whenever he wants and whatever he wants. Bring you in and out when he has time. Caress you when he feels fine…

I am describing pets as “ALIVE TOYS” of spoiled people.

Domestic dogs were always helpful for human beings. Shepherds were getting help of their dogs to drive their  herd. But this is almost the sole exemption. Birds were used as a messanger in the old days.  Police is getting help of dogs in drug traffic. Some dogs are also raised for finding some precious mushrooms growing beneath the soil.

What can be the meaning to feed street dogs and cats ? Helping them to survive a miserable life they live? It looks to me as a psychological satisfaction for oneself, while thinking for help  others somehow.

Few decades ago electronic games were very popular. Almost all children use to have the famous GAMEBOY playing the brick location game , namely TETRIS. Attaching two gameboys by a cable and have a match for two was the biggest challenge that time. Nowadays internet is connecting all children worldwide.

Suddenly it appeared a new game called - if I am not mistaken "YAMAGOUCHI". This was an electronic game simulating an alive pet. As soon as you bought. the game and the gadget you start feeding your pet -electronically- of course giving some water et cetera. If you forget to feed them in time they were “dying” – of course electronically. You were unable to see them moving over the screen… Than you needed to buy again.

I have never seen street dogs wandering freely in Europe. When I was travelling in Israel I heard that they do not accept dogs living freely at streets. (I only saw very few cats only…)

According the information I got there are 56 millon pet in the world. This is a really incredible amount.

JUST FOR FUN.. JUST TO AMUSE HIMSELF..

But never thining  one and a half billion human living below starvation …

HOW TO SELECT GENUINE PRODUCER AND EXPORTER

1. Understand the exporter's company:

When did the company start? What is the background? Do they have any vision? Do they have the website? Please understand the content in the company website. Please focus on content and not on beautification of the site. Do they have any complaints in google? If there are ,please cross check with the exporter to know the real facts and understand the case.

2. Exporter's Presence: Googling

Find out the digital presence of the company. This is very important because a company which is present everywhere in the internet will definitely would have spent more money and willing to expand their business.

3. Knowledge, Quality and Source of the Product

We need to understand whether the company or the concerned person has knowledge on the subject or the product. We also need to probe lot of questions about quality parameters, specifications, importing countries documentation e.tc. Buyer also needs to understand where does the crop grow in the exporting country and whether exporter is purchasing directly from farmer or any middle men involved.

4. Pricing of the Product

Here is the most important thing where importer has to focus on. Please be focused on quality and understand the parameters and variety in each and every product. Please set your expectation clear on quality and also ask the exporter that what quality they are offering? There are chances of high probability that Low price quotations fall in bad quality.

5. Video calling Interaction/ Physical Visit:

Most of us prefer E-mail communication but email alone will not know whom are you dealing and how the person is, you need to do video calling to interact with the exporter so that you are clear and also get more information about the product. In this way, you get to understand the person and company better in the way that they talk.

6. Verification

In case you are comfortable with the quality, pricing and payment terms then go ahead and do some verification about the company in local embassy or associations or government bodies or reference checking through relatives or friends or fellow businessmen in that country. Please make sure you come to a conclusion

7. Willingness to help the buyer

While interacting with the exporter, you can understand whether they are real or not and are they willing to help you with more information and have passion to maintain relationship though you have not given the order. Genuine exporters always give right suggestions and right feedbacks even about competitors. They do not feel unsecured and they have a strong belief in their quality and service.

8. Tradeshow Participation:

Please check whether the customer has participated in tradeshow or not. Tradeshow participation will give you authenticity about the company to a certain extent because if an exporter is paying such ahuge money and coming to tradeshow means that then they want to stand on a long run.

How much a person can consume cumin in a year?Maybe a kilo in India but only in India.. Personally I am consuming not even 100 g and in a span of a year. Checking the ppm proportion of lead is unacceptable.

 Their last year "performance" in the same theater was peanut allergen in cumin .

 Checking lead in cumin is the third wheel of investigations, cog in the machine, a cuckoo in the nest.

 Instead of looking the food safety in fresh vegetables, bread, meat, fresh fruits they check cumin and order for recall.. Just ridiculous…Just a show off.. Just play to thecrowd…

 In spices the sole and only thing they should look must be the microbiological activity .

 Anyone how works in spice industry have to attempt to stop such ridiculous and futile checks…

By this week the world population has reach to 7.6 billion.  Amazingly not so much news broke out there after. I haven’t seen any discussions on the TV neither news in the newspapers. When  it comes to the global warming , extreme CO2 emission, clean water scarcity , pollution , war , terror and refugee problems the clamor is huge…

In 1900 the world population was 1.7 billion . Within a span of a century the population multiplied fourfold . Rich countries are blamed easily for all the above mentioned calamities . But no any institution give the kick start to a fight against growth of mankind.

My house is in front of UNICEF building. I am watching continuously among Syrian refugees many new born children. How you can dare to give birth to a child while you are in asylum in a foreign country. Gaza strip is only 11 km and 1.5 million people is trying to survive over there? Be named  as biggest jail in the world.

Extreme pious people is thinking that population mean power without taking into consideration the quality of life of its members.

On the other hand very tight QUALITY ASSURANCE systems that we are installing in food factories like BRC, IFS , FSSC are resulting  extremely secure foodstuffs. This is promoting longevity too , consequently the growth of world population. Regardless the cost increase in food prices. These efforts reached to such  ridiculous extent that we do not so much care about ourselves at home than in food factories are  caring about us. For instance  7 mm metals is the harmful limit for swallowing by WHO.  But we are experiencing rejection of micron sized magnetic dust in spice world. Without even taking into consideration static magnetization.

My granddaughter is swallowing the nuts of cherries and their parents are not concerned at all. We prepare dried cherries with pit for fancy bird feeding while it is considered as very dangerous to be in the same food factory. The list of allergenic ingredients is growing day by day. Mustard which is one the world most important spice , is now considered as very allergenic. Legislators choosing the easiest way by just banning the usage.What a shame.. what a stupidity , what a waste of time and money!

Fertilizers , fungicides and herbicides are considered now the world most hazardous chemicals.
How do you think to feed 7.6 billion of mankind and 40 billion of farm animals? Cannibalism is about to start …..

THE FUTURE OF THE FOOD PRODUCTS

Every day, we face increasing regulatory controls, particularly in Europe. Microbiology, pesticide, mycotoxin, and heavy metal testing have become routine tasks. Emerging issues include PA/PAH/TA. Since farmers are not exporters, all the responsibility falls on the shoulders of the exporter. Although these checks add significant expenses to the cost of the products, they will not be sustainable for exporters in the long term. Daily intake and risk assessments must be taken into consideration.

The increasing number of controls favors external laboratories, whose influence has become a threat to the food sector. Whenever they find residues or results exceeding limits, additional controls and analyses are imposed, thereby doubling their business volume.

TVs and newspapers eagerly await sensational news, claiming that they are protecting public health. Interviews conducted with unqualified individuals only worsen the situation.

Official legislators set unattainable standards to absolve themselves of any responsibility.

Two incidents recently occurred in Turkey: the discovery of GMO in a batch of rice and the identification of carcinogenic characteristics in palm oil. The public outcry was immense, as if we were on the verge of imminent danger.

Lawmakers must ban and impose heavy penalties on the dissemination of misleading information. Only authorized or designated competent individuals should provide commentary.

DARWIN'İN EVRİM TEORİSİ HALA GEÇERLİ Mİ

Doğal seçilim ve mutasyona bağlı evrim teorisi hakkında her gün  yeni bulgular çıkıyor , yeni deneyler yapılıyor…Doğrulayacağı yönünde neticeler alınıyor. Zor yaşam şartlarında bırakılan bazı bakterilerin onbinlerce nesil sonra mutasyona uğrayarak adaptasyon gösteren bakterilere dönüştüğü bir kanıt olarak gösteriliyor. Antibiyotiklere dirençli bakterilerin ortaya çıkması canlı canlı yaşadığımız bir başka örnek… Hatta bakterilerin mutasyon geçirerek direnç gösteren yeni türlere dönüşmesini azaltmak amacı ile antibiyotiklerin kullanımının azaltılması çalışmaları bu doğrultuda değil mi?

Her yıl duyuyoruz nesli tükenen hayvanlarla ilgili haberlerde. Tehlikede olan nesilleri koruma altına almak için çaba ve para harcanıyor. Bizden önceki nesillerin beraber yaşadığı mamut ve bizonlar artık tarih sahnesinde yoklar.

Buna karşın insan kendine faydalı canlı türlerini yetiştirme amacı ile büyük bir çaba içerisinde. Tavuk , koyun ,domuz ve inek besiciliği neredeyse bir yüksek teknoloji kapsamı içerisine girmiş. En iyi verim verenler, en çabuk yetişenler, hastalıklara en dayanıklı olanlar Darwin’in değil de İnsan’ın seçilimine uğruyor.

Hibrit tohumlarla bitki yetiştiriciliği de aynı derecede ileri teknoloji ile yapılıyor. Yoksa yüz yıl içerisinde insan nüfusunun dörde katlanması mümkün müydü? Günümüzde hala dünya nüfusu her kıl kabaca yüzde bir artıyor? Ama nereye kadar …

Güney İspanya’ya yaptığım bir seyahatte inanılmaz bir biçimde tüm makilik ve ormanlık alanları zeytinliğe dönüştürdüklerini gözlerimle gördüm. Ya insan ? Evrimi takip etmek için insan ömrü yetmez ama seçilim konusunda iyi şeyler söylemek mümkün değil. Eski çağlarda hayatta kalabilmek , ancak en sağlıklı , en zeki ve en güçlü insanlar için mümkün iken bugün sağlıksız olanlara ilaç , zeki ve güçlü olmayanlara eğitim vererek beceri kazandırma en üst düzeyde çaba sarf ediliyor. Doğurma  yetisi olmayan kadınlar ve erkekler için tüp bebek yöntemi ile hamile bırakma evrimi durdurmuş gözüküyor. Fakat bunun karşısında gen bozukluğu tespit edilen anne karnındaki bebeklerin doğmadan kürtaj yapılması iyimser bir çalışma .

Bu arada Nazi düşüncesinin ARİ ırk yaratma paranoyası da bahsedilmeye değer. İnsan evrimini tüm dünyada eşzamanlı olmadığı tesbitinden hareketle az geliştiği  düşünülen “Sapiens” türlerinin yok edilmesine dayanan soykırım çalışmaları milyonlarca Yahudilerin  ve Çingenelerin hayatlarına mal olmuştur.
